Bible Study Companion — Production
Privacy Policy for The Living Word: Bible Study
The Living Word: Bible Study is a Scripture reading, study, prayer, reflection, private journal, and Bible-question companion created by Stillwater 22 Creative. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed, why it may be used, where information is stored, and how deletion requests can be made.
Information we may collect or process
Depending on the features used, the app may process:
- Scripture reading preferences, study selections, reading-plan progress, saved passages, topical choices, favourites, verse-memory progress, and app settings;
- questions voluntarily submitted through the Ask About Life and Scripture feature;
- reflection notes, prayer notes, gratitude entries, passage notes, and other content entered into the private on-device journal;
- support messages or information voluntarily provided when contacting Stillwater 22 Creative;
- technical diagnostics such as crash reports, device information, performance information, and error logs when provided by the app platform or infrastructure services.
Private on-device journal
Journal entries—including prayers, gratitude, reflections, and passage notes—are designed to remain stored locally on the user’s device and are not public. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app may permanently remove this local content. Stillwater 22 Creative cannot recover or delete journal information that never leaves the device.
Users should avoid recording passwords, financial information, government identifiers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information in the journal.
Scripture questions and online processing
When a user submits a question through Ask About Life and Scripture, the question and limited context needed to generate a Scripture-connected response may be transmitted to the app’s hosting or AI-processing infrastructure. Users should not include confidential, identifying, medical, financial, legal, or other sensitive personal information in questions.
Generated responses are intended to encourage Scripture reading and personal reflection. They may be incomplete or inaccurate and do not replace pastoral guidance, professional counselling, medical care, legal advice, or emergency support.
How we use information
Information may be used to:
- provide Bible reading, study tools, guided reflection, saved content, private journaling, and app functionality
- provide Scripture-connected responses to questions voluntarily submitted by users;
- save user preferences, reading progress, and study selections;
- respond to support requests, troubleshoot errors, maintain app security, and improve reliability.
Data sharing
Stillwater 22 Creative does not sell user data. Information may be handled by service providers or platforms used to operate, host, distribute, secure, analyze, or maintain the app, such as app store services, hosting providers, analytics or crash-reporting services, and technical infrastructure providers.
Advertising and third-party services
The app is not described as using behavioural advertising. App-store, hosting, AI-processing, email, analytics, or crash-reporting providers may process limited information necessary to provide their services under their own terms and privacy practices. If material services or data practices change, this policy and the app-store disclosures will be updated.
Data retention
Journal entries and other information stored locally may remain on the user’s device until deleted by the user, cleared through app settings, or removed by uninstalling the app. Submitted questions, support communications, diagnostics, or information handled by service providers may be retained according to operational, security, legal, or backup requirements.

Information stored only in the private on-device journal must be deleted by the user through the app, by clearing app storage, or by uninstalling the app. Stillwater 22 Creative cannot delete information it has never received.
Children’s privacy
The app is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact Stillwater 22 Creative so the issue can be reviewed.
